About ILC

The Integrated Learning Center is a language school and training center located in the heart of New York City's Times Square. Opened in 1994, ILC has been providing individual language tutorials, staff training seminars and business to business services to thousands of learners and hundreds of corporations in NYC and reaching far around the globe.

LANGUAGE DIVISION

The language division provides customized education in foreign languages through Individual, Group and Classroom instruction.

• Instruction in a variety of languages including but not limited to English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese and Portuguese
• Three levels of fluency; Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced with two levels of fluency within each category
• All ILC teachers are professionals and experts in their field and carry degrees within their area of expertise

CORPORATE SOLUTIONS

The corporate solutions area of ILC is devoted to B to B problem solving, employee language skills assessment and managing organizational needs and mandates.

• Translation and interpretation services in over 175 languages
• Language skills assessment and training for organizations who are selecting bilingual personnel
• Staff development services to assist in meeting governmental mandates and statutes

The training center is aimed at employers looking to help their staff become better communicators, supervisors and managers.

A WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT OF ILC

Welcome to the Integrated Learning Center. It's our pleasure to serve you (really it is!!!). We are now entering our 15th year of service and with each year comes new programs and diversified offerings that help define us as one of the top language schools and language service providers in New York City. As a language teacher, and a language student myself, I understand what is needed and necessary to help you learn a new language and I'm committed to making sure that every student that enrolls in an ILC language course comes out of the experience armed with the knowledge and practice they need to speak the new language. Recently, I had a conversation with a student that came from Spain two years ago to work in New York. He called me to say “I came to New York speaking one language, and I am leaving speaking three languages: Spanish, English, and Portuguese. I did not want to leave without saying thank you for sending me wonderful teachers”. You see, I love to hear those things; it gives me every reason to continue doing my lovely work and find new and better ways to give you what you want.

As you move throughout our website, you will find, as I mentioned, a wide variety of programs aimed both at individuals and corporations. We offer solutions, strengthen fluency, provide preparation for tests, build and bolster careers, and start you on a new language path. Our courses are designed for those just beginning and extend to those who are fully fluent and seeking a career change. Our teachers, who I personally hire, are experts in their field, all of them trained and prepared to provide you with a wonderful learning experience.

Our methods are unique only in that we listen to you and focus entirely on what you want to achieve. Once we understand that, we design a curriculum to fit those needs and assure you that we, with your help (we can't do it alone), will get you to where you want to be as quickly as possible. Conversation is the key to learning a new language and you will be engaged in conversations from day one. The sessions, whether one-on-one or in a small group, will be informative and fun. A 'spoonful of sugar' approach is a good way to look at it. You will work, you will learn, but it shouldn't and won't feel like a walk up Everest. Remember, I am also a language student at ILC; and believe me I enjoy my lessons!!! We want you engaged, interested and an active participant. If during the lessons you're not talking, practicing, we're not doing our job.

One of the great things about running a language school is the satisfaction I get from hearing about success stories from our students. Through the years, thousands of students have trained at ILC. Learning a new language, as far as I'm concerned, is a success story unto itself. It is like discovering a new world with so many wonderful people in it!!! Students have written to me, kept in touch with me, and it's a terrific thing to know I've been part of that. I opened this school because, first and foremost, I love teaching so hearing from these satisfied customers is particularly pleasing.

As we've grown, we've added many courses designed exclusively for businesses and, through translation and interpretation, added services that provide immediate and direct solutions. We are an all-in-one language resource and your business, whether it needs hands on training for your employees or a professional translation on a complex legal document or an interpreter to help facilitate an important business meeting, you can and will benefit from ILC.
